يمكننا باستخدام اللاقطات الضوئية عزل وإجراء قياسات نانوميكانيكية بدقة عالية لمتكون جزيئ أحماض نووية وحيد مع مركبات معدنية (DNA-ligand assembly) لأجل تحديد خصائصه الفيزيائية بالإضافة إلى استخلاص مسارالطاقة المحدد لتشكله الجزيئي
